Financial Guidelines
InterFaith Health Center is not a free clinicBecause InterFaith's founders believed that patients who make even a small investment in their health care are better health care citizens, InterFaith is not a free clinic. Instead, InterFaith provides services on a sliding-fee scale based on household size and income. In order to reduce duplication of services, InterFaith's sliding fee scale begins where the Knox County Health Department's scale ends, meaning that a patient would not be eligible for services at both facilities. InterFaith's sliding fee scale is based on the federal poverty levels set by the federal government and is reviewed and adjusted by InterFaith's administrators on a regular basis.
